What is a dog gate?

Unlike a dog cage, a dog gate does not have any side walls or roof. It is a gate assembly that is installed against the tailgate. The tailgate can be safely left open on hot summer days to air the inside of the car. A divider (optional extra) allows the luggage compartment to be turned into two separate areas for the dogs.

A dog gate makes it easy to take dogs out of the car without running the risk of them escaping from the luggage compartment. In addition, the dog gate can be locked with a key. The gate can be installed in the car without any impact on the vehicle.
